DYNAMIC POSITIONING EQUIVALENT INTEGRITY
Traditionally, dynamically positioned ships operated with open bus configurations. This reduced faults spreading between redundant groups and lowered risks of losing position.
Stricter environmental and emission rules now encourage closed bus setups. While beneficial, closed bus ties can cause complete DP failures if power systems can't ride through certain faults.
When your vessel is able to produce evidence of this testing done right, you know you have found the perfect balance of safety and efficiency.
Our 12 element protocol can be adjusted to cater to your specific needs:
-
Protection setting audit (inc. version control)
-
Fuelling Testing
-
Excitation Testing
-
Over-Voltage Testing
-
Earth Fault Testing
-
Relay & Protective Device Testing
-
Current Sensing Testing
-
Load application & Rejection Testing
-
Phase Failure Testing
-
Blackout Recovery Testing
-
Harmonic Distortion Testing
-
Fault Ride Through Testing
